Upcoming S@H project
When Brad and I were chatting about the upcoming huge fund raiser for a new project that S@H has in the works, it was discussed that these might be the cards to use for that. I have no idea what the price will be like (it's not like the current Teslas are cheap by any stretch of the immagination,) but it might be in the realm of possibility.
With that being said, there is nothing to keep from using GTX 690s instead, because the biggest differences are in the amount of on-board memory and the cooling design (the Tesla cards don't provide any video output) so it might be hard to use a graphics card in a machine designed for Tesla.
In any case, keep your eyes peeled for new announcements and fund raisers related to this sometime in the next month or two.
